Privacy Policy

Your projects stay on your device

Linework processes reference images and creates stencils entirely on your iPhone or iPad. A saved project may include the reference image, a thumbnail, the generated stencil settings, crop and size choices, retouch strokes, export settings, and an optional project name. These files are stored in Linework's private app folder. Linework has no accounts and does not provide cloud sync.

Photos, Files, clipboard, and camera

• Photos: Linework uses Apple's system photo picker so you can select an image without giving the app access to your full photo library.
• Files: Linework accesses only the file you choose and copies it into the app's private folder for the project.
• Clipboard: Linework reads an image from the clipboard only when you tap Paste.
• Camera: If you choose Camera, Linework uses it only to photograph a reference. Camera access requires your permission.

Linework does not send content obtained from these sources to us or to its analytics provider.

Analytics

Linework may send privacy-preserving usage events to TelemetryDeck so we can understand which parts of the app are useful and improve the product. Events can tell us that an action occurred—such as choosing a reference, viewing a preview, using retouch, setting a size, completing an export, viewing the paywall, making a purchase, or requesting an App Store review. For certain events, Linework also sends the type of source, export format, or purchase plan.

TelemetryDeck also receives limited technical context such as the app version, operating-system version, device type, language, region, and an anonymized app-installation identifier. Linework does not send images, project names, filenames, retouch content, email addresses, advertising identifiers, or precise location. TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses. We use this information only for product analytics.

Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are offered through Apple's StoreKit and are processed by Apple. Linework checks your purchase entitlement so it can unlock the app, but we do not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account credentials. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by App Store & Privacy and Apple's Privacy Policy.

Exports and sharing

When you export a PDF or PNG, use the iOS share sheet, or print with AirPrint, the file is sent only to the app, service, storage location, or printer you choose. Those destinations may handle the file under their own privacy policies. Linework does not receive a copy.

What Linework does not do

• No accounts or sign-in.
• No advertising and no sale of personal information.
• No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
• No upload of reference images, stencils, project files, or exports by Linework.

Deleting your data

Delete a project from Linework's project list to remove its locally stored reference, stencil data, retouch strokes, settings, and thumbnail. Deleting Linework removes its projects and app settings from the device. Purchase records remain with Apple, and anonymous analytics events already sent to TelemetryDeck are not associated with a Linework account that we can use to identify or delete an individual user's events.

Children

Linework is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not ask for a name, email address, date of birth, or account.

Changes to this policy

If Linework's data practices change, this policy will be updated at this URL and the date above will be revised.
